Quaker Oats came to ThinkShop to create the next wave of innovative cereal products. We assembled a team of terrific outside experts including a food trends expert, functional designer and human factors researcher and blended their fresh ideas with the category and consumer expertise of the Quaker team. The group scoured store shelves in search of interesting insights from other categories. We watched consumers eat breakfast and examined our own early morning eating behaviors. We looked at the worlds of magic, sports and mythology and made clay models of unique cereal forms and packages. The session resulted in 20 breakthrough concepts grounded in distinct consumer benefits.
